ELIE TAHARI (NYC) Abstract Print Dress
This dress, from popular NYC designer Elie Tahari, recalls archival abstract art prints in rich hues of copper. The pattern plays softly against the frock's delicate details - which include charming cascading ruffles that hide the front zipper closure, and a removable grosgrain ribbon that accentuates the waistline.
Make memories by pairing this vintagey number with T-strap heels and a cropped cardigan for a chic day at the office, a romantic afternoon at your favourite art gallery, or an alluring date night!

ELIZABETH AND JAMES Sunglasses
It's the Monday morning after Christmas, how are you doing?
If you’re planning on heading into work with a wicked hangover, let us respectfully recommend these Elizabeth and James options for hiding your identity and keeping a low profile from your boss and coworkers :-)
It does seem a little surprising that two ladies who practically started the over-sized, bug-eyed, hide-your-entire-face-behind-designer-shades trend a few years back is only just now launching their own line of sunglasses, but better late than never, right?
To start with, the collection will be comprised of just two unisex styles: the Fairfax, inspired by the trendy cat-eye silhouette, and the Hudson, based on by the classic aviator shape. Both are created out of acetate, high-nickel and stainless steel.
For those who like pieces not seen everywhere and anywhere, the Olsen twins are kicking off the launch with a Limited Edition style fitted with… wait for it… 24K gold mirror lenses. (Talk about a gilded life!)
Now you’re all set to block out the sun with these fashion-forward sunnies, which have the added bonus of allowing you to nap on the job unnoticed, post-festivities.
(RRP US$185 ~ US$375)

REBECCA MINKOFF "Nikki" Hobo Bag
Her Morning After bag may have put her on the map, but Rebecca Minkoff is no one-hit wonder. The NYC designer has continued to have phenomenal success with her other signature creations.
The Rebecca Minkoff Nikki hobo bag, today one of the designer's most desired styles, has worked its way into the wardrobes of legions of women - from young-Hollywoods to school teachers and lady cops to your local mums.
Although Minkoff is famous for her slightly edgy vibe, Nikki is tame enough -and recognisably "It" bag enough- that you can certainly bet it’s a great bet. Well-done in both the design and function departments, the slouchy and smooshy Nikki still manages to easily hold your fancy new iPad. Just as it is an impressive accessory to go with all your office outfits, so it is also your great off-duty arm candy, or even the perfect extra to accompany your relaxed vacation ensemble.

Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
I do believe you’ll find my name on the ‘Nice’ list this year, filed under ‘Fashionista’ and ‘Friend of wondermomo and Whoop!’. Following is a list of items I’d be thrilled and thankful to receive as gifts this holiday season.
1. Kenzo Soft Jersey-Silk Painterly Art-print Dress.
I love art. After spotting this beauty, I am absolutely positive it has plenty to teach me about appreciating art in its many different forms, while making me look truly like a work of art.
2. Costume National Studded Platform Ankle Booties.
Easily dressed up or dressed down, there’s not a stud of doubt in my mind that these badass babes (pardon my French) are definite must-haves.
3. Katherine Hamnett London Men’s Suit.
Mark Zuckerberg isn’t the only one who needs to grow up and wear a suit - at least once in a while. The #1 thing I noticed about this immaculate ensemble is the slim-cut pants designed to be closer to the leg. So rare, and so right for accentuating the BF’s lean frame.
4. Diesel S.p.A. Washed & Destroyed Denim Shirt.
There's just something about men in the rugged workwear look (my man, in particular) that's so irresistible, you know?
And there you have it Santa Claus, I appreciate your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Xx

RUGBY RALPHA LAUREN University Chino Skull Pants
Known for its vast array of preppy wear influenced by varsity and rugby lifestyle, Rugby Ralph Lauren nonetheless does things a tad differently from other American prepster brands. By tying the classic preppy look of Ralph Lauren with a younger, edgier street/downtown style, Rugby designs are neat and classic yet leaves just enough leeway for wearers to tout their rebellious inner child a bit.
A Sex Pistol tee it may not be, but these Rugby Ralph Lauren pants are surely every bit as enjoyable as one. Allover embroidered skull motifs supposedly do not go with distressed classic-fit chinos, but with Rugby, that's no longer a rule. It’s all newness, and just a little punk, and great fun :-D
Constructed in artfully faded cotton chino.

CAMILLA SKOVGAARD (Denmark/London) Wedge Boots
These highly coveted Camilla Skovgaard shoes feel like they came out of nowhere -- simply because just a year ago, practically nobody had any idea who on earth Camilla Skovgaard was.
Following couture studies in Paris, the then 20-year-old Denmark-born Skovgaard was hired to work in Dubai by a French-owned fashion house. After seven years of designing for the Gulf state’s fabulous high-society women, Skovgaard moved to London to study at Cordwainers College (the world’s leading footwear design school, whose famous alums include, among others, Dato’ Jimmy Choo OBE and Beatrix Ong), where she learned and perfected her craft.
Today, aged 37, the freakingly-talented designer is the talk of the fashion world -- thanks to her shoes that hit high on the radar of every stylist/editor/star.
With just enough edge and bravado, Camilla Skovgaard’s suede wedge booties with round toe feature the designer’s signature vertiginous heels with widged “sawtooth” soles - said to be very comfortable to wear.
(RRP US$590)
More semi-fast facts about Camilla Skovgaard:-
• (On how she got the job of designing clothing for the Sheikh’s wives and daughters in Dubai)
“It was very strange. I was 20 and just back home in Denmark from a tailoring course in London. My mom had the paper out because she was looking for a job for my brother and there was an advertisement in the newspaper to come to Dubai to design. No one had heard of Dubai then -- it wasn’t the tourist destination it is now. You had to be 25 but I typed out my letter anyway (there weren’t computers everywhere then) and said ‘I’m a student would you consider taking me down for training?’ They called me in and I clicked with the women right away. They flew me down and I got along very well with the ladies and I was very quick at sketching and I think she was smart in taking someone so young because she could mould me. I was only meant to say for a year but I came straight in with the local women for their engagements and weddings and childbirths so it gave me a lot more of a personal angle into the country and I think that’s why I ended up staying seven years. ... That’s when I first started paying attention to shoes because these women spent huge amounts of money on handmade clothes and then the shoes were like an afterthought. The shoes were not very good. Oh no. They were all platforms because they want to be taller. And I like platforms but we’re talking bad platforms. They think that because everything is full length and their dresses go down to the floor no one will see, but when you’re sitting down and you walk on those wedding stages it’s terrible.”
• (On being nominated at both the 2009 and 2010 British Fashion Awards)
“I just came from a week in London, where I attended the British Fashion Awards. I was nominated for Accessory Designer of the Year; last year, I was also nominated, but in the emerging category. I didn't win, but I have more business than the winners, so it's not too bad.”
Can we say LOL?! I mean, how straightforward, and how transparent, hahahaha.
(The 2009 and 2010 BFA winners, by the way, were respectively: Holly Fulton and Nicholas Kirkwood.)
