ACNE (Sweden) Printed Pants

While denim will always hold a special place in our fashion hearts, printed pants --a big trend for Fall-- are bringing a whole new selection of wardrobe options.
So if you’re feeling a little bold, check out cult Swedish label Acne’s lively and voluminous take.
With an eye-catching print and edgy zip details, little else is needed than a black blazer (or a little plain top) and some skyscraper stilettos or ankle boots!
(RRP Swedish Krona 2,795 (=RM1,290!))

Meanwhie, the below has got to be absolutely one of the coolest bunch of ladies that we've featured.
They have taken the printed pants trend by its neck, and personalised it to their own interpretation.
So incredibly chic, it hurts.
We can only imagine what else must be hanging in their closets!

TORY BURCH Classic "Tory" Tote

When Barack Obama issued a statement about women leaders during his campaign, one of the names he listed (alongside the likes of Dr. Sally Ride and Billie Jean King) was fashion designer Tory Burch. (Perhaps not only because of her amazing career achievements, but also because of the Tory Burch Foundation, created by the designer last year to provide female entrepreneurs with economic opportunities.)

Although born, raised and educated (in art history) in the elite Philadelphia metropolitan area, Tory Burch was hardly a cookie-cutter uptown girl. She may live a privileged life, but this fashion PR veteran, fixture on the social circuit and self-taught designer has worked vigorously hard for the spot on fashion's highest pedestal.
When the Tory Burch flagship store opened in New York City in 2004, it was almost completely sold out on the first day. In April 2005, Burch’s collection was endorsed on The Oprah Winfrey Show, and since then has grown exponentially into one of the most successful and most recongnisable lines ever, known for its preppy, north-eastern American style dubbed "socialite chic". And when Forbes magazine released its inventory of the world’s 100 most powerful women last week, Tory Burch, in spot 88, was the first of the only three female fashion designers to make this list. (The other two being Vera Wang and Donna Karan, who ranked numbers 91 and 96, respectively.)

Whether shopping in the city or hitting the beach, carry your everyday necessities in Tory Burch’s classic, roomy “Tory” Tote. This bag is also structured enough for the office -- especially on the days when you’ve got loads of stuff to bring.
(RRP US$225)
The stars (Nickhun of 2PM, Wonder Girls) came out for the opening of the Tory Burch’s super-gorgeous Seoul flagship store this past June.

A hand-built family "chariot" for three is among the countless goodies that bear Tory Burch’s eclectic, sophisticated aesthetic.
This "ultimate fantasy Christmas gift" can be yours for a
cool US$4500.

No, we’re not fans of Dolph Lundgren (who, for trivia's sake, is a chemical engineering Masters grad from the University of Sydney as well as a Fullbright scholar who once studied at MIT) or David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff, but it’s (nearly) impossible to resist their charms in these chuckle-worthy videos, which come with an “allow” and “deny” version.

ADIDAS x YOHJI YAMAMOTO Y-3 Heels for the Ladies

Maybe not the first but surely among the most avant-garde, Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto again find fusion between sport and fashion and demonstrate their knack for upping the ante in footwear design. These Y-3 ladies heels are not only edgy-looking, they boast a construction from the same special technology originally invented for athletic shoes. The EVA midsole utilises Adidas’ “adiPRENE” technology for premium cushioning and shock absorption; Lycra forefoot insert adapts to your step for smooth walking, and the heel uses “Torsion”, a system which allows the front and back of your foot to move independently for added stability. Not just fashion-forward, these heels are fashion-future!
(RRP US$430)

ADIDAS STAN SMITH Trainers

The Adidas Stan Smith shoes -- Adidas’ biggest-ever trainer (in terms of sales anyway!) -- were first introduced in 1965 as the first all-leather tennis shoe. It was originally called the Haillet (after French tennis player Robert Haillet), then renamed in 1971 following the endorsement by American tennis great and former world number-one Stan Smith. Since then, it has gone on to be one of most popular shoes of all time, having sold over 30 million pairs.
The Stan Smith was and still is a simple fare of premium leather or canvas upper with usually green accents on the logo patch and heel tab -- as if not to upset the stringent dress code of the tennis lawns. One other notable feature, or the lack of, is the Adidas three stripes. Instead, three rows of perforation take its place along the sidewall of the shoe.

As a proud carrier of the Stan Smith name, this Adidas shoe design maintains a classic style befitting the legendary champion. A timeless staple that will work with any look, or a must-have for retro tennis shoe fans.

THE KOOPLES (Paris) Lace/Leather/Satin Dress

The latest fashion buzz to hit Paris, The Kooples is the new brainchild of the Elicha brothers, who also founded the lauded French label Comptoir des Cottoniers. When Comptoir des Cotonniers was bought by the Japanese in 2006, the brothers found time on their hands to adapt their house signature to a new target: take the “couples” idea, combine it with the modern French “je ne sais quoi” -and a dash of rebellious attitude- and meld it into a diabolically hip, youth-arty-love version of the “Savile Row” look. Within just 3 months of opening, The Kooples has already opened up a whopping 20 stores, and are planning to open 150 more in the next three years, including outside France.

Elegant yet sexy, this robe dentelle, cuir et satin (lace, leather and satin dress) by The Kooples is brilliantly put together to help you fill in the missing gaps in your closet.
(RRP €235)

The Kooples’ ad campaigns, always featuring real-life, stylishly-swathed couples of all types and shapes and colours (scouted from the street, Facebook, and Myspace -- what a concept!), never fail to create a refreshing visual landscape, further upping the brand’s cool factor.

Etc.

And now it's Peanuts' turn. Today marks the 60th anniversary of Charles Schulz's beloved comic strip, which features the wonderful adventures of Charlie Brown, Snoopy (who was introduced to the strip two days later), Lucy, Pigpen, Woodstock and the gang.
This makes Snoopy approximately 253 years old -- in dog years!

A BATHING APE x CHROME HEARTS

Rei Kawakubo and Yohji Yamamoto may have put Tokyo on the fashion map in the 80s, but today Tomoaki “Nigo” Nagao, the 40-year-old DJ-turned-designer, is definitely the ringleader of Japan’s burgeoning hip-hop scene, whose aficionados queue for hours for a chance to buy his colourful merch.
Thought to be the owner of the world's largest collection of memorabilia from the Planet of the Apes sci-fi film franchise, Nigo made it the springboard for his A Bathing Ape (otherwise known as Bape) fashion empire, which is slowly conquering the planet with its brand of cool and very (very) upscale streetwear.
A Bathing Ape is known for the limited circulation of the products they produce – particularly their collaboration with other high-ticket brands. One such partnership is when they combined with L.A. luxury lifestyle brand Chrome Hearts (where Rolex watches are sold with one-of-a-kind Chrome Hearts bracelets in place of the stock band or strap), melting Bape characters and Chrome Hearts iconography into graphics to present a T-shirt collection that includes designs of Baby Milo. A popular sub-division of Bape clothing, Baby Milo is named after -who else- baby Milo, the son of the talking chimpanzees Cornelius and Zira, who grows up to be the leader (and chief instigator) of the ape revolution and the ruler of Ape City in the Planet of the Apes movie series.

These limited and exclusive tees were reportedly retailing for S$219 at the Bape store in Singapore -- where every customer is allowed to purchase only one of the special releases.

A Bathing Ape x Chrome Hearts (top), and vice-versa (bottom).

CHROME HEARTS

Chrome Hearts has evolved over the past two decades from a leather motorcycle riding-gear company to one that offers a line of handmade jewellery in precious metals and stones — as well as luggage, apparel and accessories in fine leathers and fabrics. Even with the opening of more than a dozen stores across the United States, Asia and Europe, the company likes to keep a low profile — no campaigns, look books or fashion shows. Chrome Hearts also prefers not to publicise prices, but let’s just say a flashy little number can cost you a month’s rent or more!
