Brooks Brothers has been around since 1818 (it’s the oldest men's clothing brand in the United States - though, clearly, it makes cute women's footwear, too, these days), and has dressed nearly every American president from Lincoln to Kennedy to Obama and helped create costumes for Mad Men and Gossip Girl. So it's no surprise that the company has been named the official men’s clothier of the anticipated film ‘The Great Gatsby’. Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton and co are all outfitted in authentic 1920s costumes designed by Brooks Brothers, who put together a whopping 1,700 pieces of costume including neckwear, accessories, and shoes.

Fun fact: While researching for the film’s costumes, Brooks Brothers archivists discovered that TGG author F. Scott Fitzgerald was actually a Brooks Brothers customer.
