Our working rhythm is the same.” So says Yohji Yamamoto, as he celebrates the 10th anniversary of Y-3. 2011 also happens to be a big year for the designer personally: it is the 30th anniversary of his debut in Paris; he is the subject of an extensive retrospective exhibition at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum; he is unveiling his autobiography (“My Dear Bomb”) in June, and we get to see the insides of his mind in a rare film, “This is my Dream” (due to be released on DVD in September - watch the trailer below).
