Happy Labour Day!

Have a happy & safe Labour Day!
Meanwhile hardworking us will remain open through 1 May (1145-2000hrs) for folks who need relief from fashion distress.
Those of you who, for whatever reason, are not out frolicking at the beach or on vacation outside Klang Valley/the country, we welcome you :)

Development by Erica Davies Scarf Collar Dress

After succeeding Phillip Lim as the creative force behind Development, Welsh designer Erica Davies has successfully cultivated her own loyal following with sharp, structured designs that are infused with a girlish quality as well as her unique British-LA aesthetics. This winning formula of ‘hard meets soft’ has firmly established Davies as a designer of beautiful clothes that have staying power. Her specialty is ultra-chic one-pieces that transcend from day to night, like this classy-edgy mini dress. This piece would look amazing paired with platform heels or chunky bracelets. If you (like some of us!) are shy about baring that much leg, throw on some coloured tights or leggings, or simply wear it as a top over stovepipe denim.

Catherine Malandrino Cut-Out Blouse in Basil

After starting out with Ungaro, Féraud & Et Vous, & later head-designing for Diane von Fürstenberg, French-born Manhattanite Catherine Malandrino launched her own label in 1998. Merging French romance with American energy, & never being shy about the importance of ‘seduction’ in her designs, Malandrino brought softness & refinement to the urban female wardrobe & soon gained a glamourous list of celebrity clients. In 2002, “Sex and the City” filmed in her SoHo boutique & Malandrino became the name on every fashion follower’s lips. The designer further acquired a mass appeal following her 2006 appearance as guest judge on “Project Runway.” Today, go to any Hollywood red carpet or turn on “Gossip Girl” & chances are you’ll find at least one, if not two or three, actresses sporting a Catherine Malandrino frock. If all this doesn’t impress you, we promise her clothes will!
In the loveliest of blue-green, this exquisite top carries lavish cut-out details & can be easily taken from a day at the office to a night on the town.

Helmut Lang Stretch Poplin Solid Woven Shirt - Coming Soon

The Helmut Lang brand was created by Austrian designer Helmut Lang in 1986. With his serious, intelligent & inspirational designs, Lang reigned supreme over the ’90s fashion world. In 1999 Lang entered into partnership with Prada. It was not a lasting union. After Lang left in 2005, Prada sold the trademark to Link Theory Holdings, a Japanese company that also owns the Theory label. American-New Zealand designer couple Michael & Nicole Colovos (the founders of Habitual) were hired on the recommendation of Vogue editors. The pair announced that they were so respectful of Lang’s revered legacy, they had no intention of recreating his work. Instead, the new team has won encouraging reviews by making Lang's utilitarian roots more accessible, both aesthetically & financially, to the general public. Minimalism for the masses, so to speak.
The revived Helmut Lang collection maintains the clean, linear lines of the original, but loses the harsh, severe aspects. Featuring a back centre seam that provides the sort of subtle detail that serves as a Helmut Lang hallmark, this stretch cotton poplin dress-shirt is an apt example of the continued albeit altered spirit of the brand.
In white or black. Smooth finish, slim fit. Coming soon!

Mint Jodi Arnold Off Shoulder Tank

This sweet, form-flattering silk-linen cami/tank by Mint Jodi Arnold is such an eye-catching & versatile top. It can be worn alone, or under a cute cardigan.
Through the intricate sewn/stitched detailing on the bodice, designer Jodi Arnold again demonstrates her special attraction to vintage-inspired techniques.
Perfect for the warmest days & nights.

3.1 Phillip Lim 'Happy Face' Boyfriend Tee

Add a fun staple to your wardrobe with the 3.1 Phillip Lim ‘Happy Face’ Boyfriend Tee!
From multiple award wins to the recent launch of a ‘Kid’ line, it’s been a breezy climb for Phillip Lim.
Born in
Thailand to Chinese parents, Lim lived briefly in Cambodia until the civil war forced the family to relocate to California. After studying finance & fashion & holding posts at Katayone Adeli & Development, Lim founded 3.1 Phillip Lim with fabric company owner & friend Wen Zhou in 2005. (The provenance of ‘3.1’ is explained as the age of both partners, 31, when they started the label -- auspicious?). 3.1’s self-described “classic but twisted” looks have, from the very first collection, created a tidal wave & ensured Lim’s meteoric rise up the ranks of New York’s fashion elite. …& the ascension continues.
From supermodels to young mums, Lim’s IT gal fans have been clamouring for his face-emblazoned loose-fit tee. Available in an assortment of expressions (Kiss ‘n’ Wink, Oops, & more) & colours (black, navy, ivory, lilac, & more), this cheeky update on the ‘90s era smiley face is great for revitalising your usual ensembles.
Wear it over skinny jeans, tuck it into flare pants/skirts, or dress it up a bit with a jacket for a semi-formal day at work. Sure to brighten up a rainy day or your boss's mood!
