Yes, we are open as usual today (Federal Territory Day), as well as tomorrow (eve of Lunar New Year), so that you can still make a dash for the last items on your fashion list before laying out your chopsticks and reunion dinner!
This old photo of the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur was taken by Mr. Bill Strong of Melbourne, Australia in 1970, near the Robinson's Shopping Centre on Mountbatten Road, now renamed Jalan Tun Perak. Apparently:-
No. 6 was Economy Printers, and then Ubaidulla & Co.
No. 8 was the Philips showrooms.
No. 20-22 was Storch Bros.
No. 24-26 was Williams & Co. (Music Store) on the ground floor, and Eastern Photographers on the first floor.
No. 28 was Chic Ladies clothes.
No. 42 has the large round advertising sign "OUB" (Overseas Union Bank)
