Diesel as a brand doesn’t need any introduction. Instead let’s take a look at the brand’s sister concern, Diesel Black Gold, a high-end exclusive line for urban females and males.
The talented and acclaimed Sophia Kokosalaki has played a primary role in the development of Diesel Black Gold since 2009, and this is one of the last pieces created for the collection by the London-based designer. (Norwegian Andreas Melbostad —formerly of Roberto Cavalli, YSL, Calvin Klein, and Nina Ricci— is set to step up as the new Creative Director.)
Incorporating Kokosalaki’s signature draping technique, this tastefully sexy DBG dress is made from high-quality soft stretch jersey fabric. The on-trend peek-a-boo side slit helps to create the illusion of length, making your legs appear longer.
This dress would make a great travel piece, too, since it doesn't wrinkle easily, is flattering for both the ceremony and the reception (and work, even), and can be worn with any colour, and with different shoes, jackets and accessories!
(RRP US$380)
The leg-revealing slit dress/skirt is all the rage for AW2012 as well as SS2013.
