VENA CAVA
‘Vena cava’ if you didn’t already know is the vein that returns blood from the body to the heart. But this coveted vintage-tinged line is more than just an inspired name. Since graduating from Parsons in 2003, co-founders/designers (and best friends) Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai have inspired cult-like devotion with their sophisticated quirk, flattering shapes, and modern colour. Incidentally, Mayock is also the girlfriend of Jeff Halmos, one-half of that other ultra-cool Californian brand: Shipley & Halmos.
Vena Cava is sold in over 150 retailers internationally including Barneys New York, Bergdorf Goodman, and Harvey Nichols Hong Kong.
