It’s hard for Robert Rodriguez to go wrong in the eyes of his fans. The Cuban-born designer had admired Dior as a child, devouring a book on Dior that his mother had given him. Then, as a fresh NYC/F.I.T. graduate, he was hired by Dior and this gave him the huge opportunity to refine his craft. Today Robert Rodriguez designs for an impressive clientele (which includes industry buyers and celebrities) who appreciates understated sexiness and alluring fabric and fit.

Osaka-born, Evisu grew out of founder Hidehiko Yamane’s quest to produce vintage-style denim wear through labour-intensive methods. Lacking the funds to produce the leather logo patch for his first creations, the then-tailor came up with the cost-saving idea to hand-paint a stylised gull on the back pockets. The logo stuck and Evisu took off. “If I can’t find quality in a product, I’ll make it”. Guided by this philosophy and being the avid angler and golfer that he is, Yamane has even gone on to make fishing tackles and launch a golf line.
The Evisu Heritage Kamikaze Phoenix Jeans features a phoenix, the word “Kamikaze” (divine wind) in Kanji characters, and the gull logo screenprinted onto the back.
Now in store.
