LaROK "Dare You To Stare Dress" & "Rock Princess Mini Dress"

Designers battle to get Hollywood stars to wear their clothes, but only a few have been as lucky as LaROK.
Launched in 2004 by L’Koral Inc. (the maker of 7 For All Mankind jeans), LaROK is designed collaboratively by a creative team spearheaded by Jenna Wilson & Cary Vaughan. Today its list of famous fans range from gossip girl Blake Lively & desparate housewife Eva Longoria to Taylor Swift & Victoria Beckham. The reason LaROK is so popular is because Wilson & Vaughan not only excel at colliding street-smart versatility with flirtatious glamour, they’re very good at using the customer as their muse. The team would make the effort to imagine the wearer’s adventures through work, parties, relaxing, & downtown; details are then meticulously considered (e.g., “Are the pockets are big enough for an iPod?”) & incorporated into the garments. It really doesn’t get any more appealing than that!
(Top) By itself or vamped up with accessories, the combo-style & colourblocked LaROK “Dare You To Stare Dress” will easily take you from your desk to the bar.
(Bottom) The LaROK “Rock Princess Mini Dress” is exactly that -- a sexy frock befitting rock royalty. Great detail in the form of the studded banding.

THEORY Two-Tone Shirtdress

Theory found a clever way to style a blouse & pencil skirt: by putting the two together & cinching it with a built-in belt. What you get is a two-tone, colour-block dress -- nice & sophisticated for the office, don't you think? Goes great with bare legs, pumps, stilettos, or a fitted blazer!
* Also available in white/black combination. Other chic Theory pieces in store, too!
Theory is a fashion house based out of NYC. Launched in 1997 (by third-generation doyen of the garment industry Andrew Rosen & friend Elie Tahari), Theory became a phenomenon of the U.S. contemporary designer-wear market in the sense that it achieved significant success without any traditional fashion PR -- no outdoor posters, no in-store events, no products in Oscar goodie bags.
This "anti-brand" ideology did not change even after the label was sold to Japanese firm Link International (now LTH) in 2003. (Rosen stayed on as president & now heads up other brands in the Link portfolio as well, including Helmut Lang & Uniqlo.) Today, still content with its low-key public image, Theory continues to churn out collections known for their uncomplicated silhouettes, quality, fit, & most notably, for being almost impossible to identify.
