The "Beatle boots" originated in 1961, when the Fab Four commissioned Chealse boots -with the addition of Cuban heels- from Anello & Davide (a long-established ballet shoes and theatrical footwear maker in London) to complement their new suit image. The distinctive boots instantly became de rigueur for Beatlemaniacs and otherwise.Now the famous boot has been given a makeover by none other than the King of downtown NYC aesthetic meets hipster-off-duty cool, Alexander Wang. The boot received a new name, "Anouck", as well as an edgy metal plate detailing in the cut-out stacked heel. Mod chic at its finest, Anouck also comes with the added bonus of practicality -- meaning, its nicely flat, and very walkable, which makes it the kind of kick-around yet stylish footwear you'd love to put on when you're just hanging out, doing cool, interesting stuff with your peeps :-)
