Elie Tahari 'Jada' Dress
From humble design beginnings (making tube tops for the disco crowd while changing light-bulbs in the Manhattan garment district), Elie Tahari built up an eponymous label that today retails at over 600 points of sale in the U.S. alone. At the late 2006 Bloomingdale’s Department Store opening in San Francisco , the brand reportedly even took the No.1 vendor spot. When the designer does a fitting, he does it on women who work in his company, not from agencies that specialise in models for fittings. “Real women as opposed to runway models” –- that’s Tahari’s principle.
Graceful & figure-flattering, the ‘Jada’ dress with oven-cord straps is another clear Elie Tahari winner that merits the approval of loyal & new fans alike, including the talented singer/songwriter/pianist Sara Bareilles (pic).
