At the late 2006 Bloomingdale’s Department Store opening in San Francisco, the brand reportedly even took the No.1 vendor spot. When the designer does a fitting, he does it on women who work in his company, not from agencies that specialise in models for fittings. “Real women as opposed to runway models” –- that’s Tahari’s principle. Graceful & figure-flattering, the ‘Jada’ dress with oven-cord straps is another clear Elie Tahari winner that merits the approval of loyal & new fans alike, including the talented singer/songwriter/pianist Sara Bareilles (pic).
