Burberry Blue Label Men's Jeans
A unisex collection launched in 1996 for the Japanese market, Burberry Blue Label is more than just a spin-off line of the high-end designer brand. Featuring practical designs and refreshing colours, its mission was to bring the popularity of Burberry back to younger market sectors in Japan . Licence holder and designer Sanyo Shokai cleverly got trendy songstress Amuro Namie to don a distinctive Blue Label plaid mini-skirt during her 1997 marriage press conference. This triggered a phenomenal boom and successfully reversed Burberry’s aging image, subsequently propelling Blue Label into the biggest growth segment for the brand globally. Still somewhat under-the-radar in the West, Burberry Blue Label is as hot as ever in Japan and lately has been basking in the attention of Hong Kong/Taiwan stars and fans.
