Lulu & Co. creative director Lulu Kennedy might not be a fashion household name here, but if you’re part of the industry in London, she’s somewhat of a demigoddess. For the past 14 years, Kennedy has helmed Fashion East, a non-profit organisation that has earned a reputation for discovering and championing London’s up-and-coming design talent. Kennedy is also the Editor-at-Large of Condé Nast’s style biannual LOVE magazine. Lulu & Co. the clothing line reflects both the way Kennedy describes her own dress-sense and that of the quintessential Lulu girl: “a boyfriend jeans kinda girl with an up for it London attitude, the kind of girl who dresses to please herself.” The charm is in the mash-up.
