KENZO Tuareg Floral Dress

The evergreen fashion house Kenzo -- under the helm of Sardinia-based Italian designer Antonio Marras since 2003 -- has always epitomised the " East meets West" element, churning out visually compelling designs that are an uncanny mix of original founder Takada Kenzo's natural Japanese influences, Parisian culture, and other ethnic vibes and exotic extras. And throughout its 40-year history, flowers have continued to feature as the house’s signature motif, be it in clothing or fragrance. This season, even as he drew inspiration from the Middle Eastern excursions of the early 20th century English adventuress Freya Stark, Marras did not leave out flowers from his dresses. With an adjustable bow on one side, the knit viscose-and-woven silk Tuareg* Floral Dress skims the body with its fluid shape and slight sheen. Perfect for a day in the city, evenings by the sea, or a moonlit dinner in the Sahara :-)
(RRP 450 €)

*Trivia
The Tuareg or Touareg, a Berber nomadic pastorialist people, are the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa. (Well-known modern Berbers include France-born soccer genius Zinedine Zidane.)
