NIXON (USA) Watches

These watches make our mouth water. Founded in California in 1997, Nixon began as a relatively small watch manufacturer who designed and made timepieces for the younger market. In the past decade, however, the company has broadened its target audience and have become hugely successful in the fashion industry, making a name for itself among surfers and scenesters alike.

• NIXON TIME TELLER ACETATE
The Nixon Time Teller Acetate is a simple yet polished way for ladies to test drive the ‘boyfriend watches’ trend. The play with colours and patterns bring out just enough character, so that regardless of your style, there’s one that works for you.
Featuring a 3-hand Japanese quartz movement, 100-meter acetate case with hardened mineral crystal, and a band of acetate links with a stainless steel deployment buckle.
(RRP US$150)

• NIXON 42-20 CHRONO

You can go deep, 200m deep, with the Nixon 42-20 Chrono watch. The stainless steel case is water resistant to 200 meters, and with a solid stainless steel band, you can hang at the beach and surf to your heart’s content, or head down town in sophisticated style.
This watch features a full chronograph and a date window for any additional time telling needs you may have. 42.25mm diameter.
(RRP US$450)

RAF SIMONS x FRED PERRY (Limited Edition)

Fred Perry began its long-standing collaboration with Belgium designer Raf Simons back in 2008. Each season since has seen Simons tweak the signature Fred Perry look to make it a little different from the last. For the ‘New Build Polo’, Simons slimmed down the look of the polo shirt with darting in the body. Other personal touches include a ‘double layer’ hem, a thinner collar, and extended plackets and arms to create a more formal, fashionable take on the sportswear staple.
Team this fail-safe option with fresh whites and tailored shorts for preppy style.
(RRP US$175)

THEORY (New York) Men's Shirt

Where would you be without your go-to button-down? These latest rendition of the essential woven shirt from New York-based label Theory -in small checks, striped, or just plain- come in lightweight cotton, a clean front, and a contemporary fit.

THEORY
Clean lines, luxurious fabrics, and an exacting fit, these are the ideals upon which Theory was founded -originally as a woman’s line- back in 1997. Created as a partnership between industry veterans Andrew Rosen and Elie Tahari, Theory quickly established itself as the go-to label for smart yet understated pieces that didn’t sacrifice comfort f
or style – and they managed to do it without relying on celebrity endorsements or fashion shows.
Tahari left in 2003 (Rosen remains on as CEO), the same year that Theory was acquired by Fast Retailing of Japan, who sought to expand the brand into a global market. While still headquartered in NYC, Theory now has boutiques around the world. Earlier this year, Theory tapped acclaimed Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens, formally of Nina Ricci and Rochas, to create a woman’s capsule collection for the brand, later elevating him to Artistic Director, where he now oversees the men line as well. Expect more versatile and well-fitting designs, the kind those fans keep reaching for.

Theory's new boutique in Aoyama, Tokyo (opened end-July).

EVER
For Jason Bleich, creative director of Ever, quality comes first and comfort is a close second. Ever garments are made from the best fabrics and cut and finished to feel like your favourite vintage piece. Inspired by travel, Ever's graphics bring an international edge to the clothes, and each piece is named after a different city around the world. Since its inception in 2003, Ever has collected celebrity fans such as Sienna Miller and Kate Hudson. Ever’s memorable logo is emblematic of the Asian Proverb "Though a tree grows so high, the falling leaves return to the root." This idea is the undercurrent of Ever's philosophy: embracing both progress and travel, as well as the eventual and inevitable return home.
