RRL (DOUBLE RL) Crewneck Tee

Created as a modern tribute to the tireless resolve of the American worker and the independent spirit of the untamed West, the foundation of the RRL (Double RL by Ralph Lauren) collection lies in timeless wardrobe staples – such as cotton jersey tees.
Made of 100% fully combed cotton, RRL’s crewneck tee -with or without logo- is knitted as a continuous, seamless tube for an authentic vintage fit. The garment is also specially treated and washed for the appearance of a timeworn classic. Above all, it’s so comfortable, you’ll be tempted to wear it to bed!
(RRP US$50~US$80 / £65~£75)

RRL (DOUBLE RL)
Founded in 1993, the RRL label is named after Ralph Lauren’s Colorado cattle ranch, which is itself named after Mr Lauren and his wife Ricky. The inspiration for the line came when the visionary dream-maker took a trip to Europe, tried to buy vintage Levi’s, and learned to his dismay that they were all being sent to rich and ravenous Japan. He decided to recreate the vintage look, with an ultra high-end line that offers quality and a timeless spirit. Sold only in RRL stores and selected Ralph Lauren boutiques, rumour has it that it is the only line that Mr Lauren still personally okays every piece.

Ralph Lauren opened his RRL ranch to Oprah and her cameras last May.

TSUBO
Founded by Patrick McNulty and Nick O’Rorke (both of whom worked for Reebok in the mid-90s) in 1997, Tsubo is a smallish but respected footwear brand that got its name from the Japanese meaning of ‘pressure point’.
O’Rorke’s mother, an accomplished potter in England, had invited a Japanese potter to work in residence with her for three weeks. The man had carried about a massage doll that had the word ‘Tsubo’ on it.
One day, while O’Rorke and his mother were brainstorming names for the shoe company, the Japanese guest put the doll in front of them and simply said, ‘Tsubo’. A brilliant stroke of genius, of course, as the name completely jibes with a footwear company that sought to provide comfort and relief. So dedicated and innovative is the Tsubo design team that when they could not find the proper equipment at shoe factories to fulfill their production processes, they turned to factories that primarily produce vibrators and other adult sex toys to make their shoes.
