Just to let you know, Muharram has been a month of MOURNING, since the year 680 AD, when the Grandson of Prophet Muhammad, Hussain, was brutally butchered in Karbala, Iraq, along with his companions and children, including a six-month-old son, after being deprived of food and water for three days, in an attempt by the Umayyad dynasty to destroy the true Islam.
Before this, it was a time of celebration. Anyone who tells you it's a time to celebrate the Hijra or anything else is hiding the truth, because he/she is a direct descendant of the perpetrators of this atrocity, who to this day commit such atrocities in the name of Islam against fellow Muslims, as well as non-Muslims.
