BRUNELLO CUCINELLI (Solomeo, Italy) Trapeze Top

Brunello Cucinelli is an Italian luxury label that doesn’t hit the radar very often. If you know it at all, you tend to know how super expensive it is—but a closer look at its creations gives it good reason to be. Exquisitely crafted and finely detailed, Bruno Cucinelli’s “Everyday Couture” is perfect for women who look a million bucks whether they’re running a business or their children to school.

Evident in this tiered piece is the brand’s predilection for the trapeze / flared hem silhouette. A flattering design that will wear beautifully season upon season.
(RRP US$1,613)

BRUNELLO CUCINELLI
Founder Brunello Cucinelli started selling cashmere sweaters in 1978 and expanded to full womenswear in 2000. Today the collection also includes designs for men. The company went public in 2012, when it was valued at an incredible US$320 million. Known mainly for its very expensive cashmere daywear easily costing more than €2,000, it says something for the calibre of Brunello Cucinelli creations that they were able to generate an increase of 15.4% in revenue in 2013.

Prince William was wearing Brunello Cucinelli for the engagement royal portrait.

NEW LOOK (London) Oxford Shirt

Cut from a quality cotton/poly blend, the fabric of this New Look Oxford shirt is sturdy yet soft. Added advantage? It’s easy-care and practically take cares of itself.
Wear it with your favourite selvedge jeans, or team with smart shorts on your CNY vacation. :-)

NEW LOOK
Founded in 1969, British global fashion retailer was given the royal seal of approval when Princess Beatrice and Zara Phillips stepped out wearing it last month. It seems that royals, celebrities, and the British public can't get enough of the brand—New Look has just been crowned British women’s favourite place to shop on the high street, knocking last season’s winner Zara from the top spot. While it would be easy to put New Look’s success down to price points, it’s also very much a case of cleverly getting the balance of trend, basics, versatility and wow-factor product right.

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD ANGLOMANIA (London) Leather Flats

Anglomania is the rebellious younger sister of the Vivienne Westwood main line. The collection speaks to the designer’s punk roots and reference many of her early looks and prints.
Featuring pretty contrast-colour slashed detailing (that reveals the flesh-colour leather lining) and the label’s orb logo on the front, this Vivienne Westwood Anglomania leather flat is a chic alternative to towering pumps.
Wear this very low-heeled pair to the office with sleek tailoring, or slip them on on the weekend with everything from boyfriend jeans to mini skirts.
(RRP US$275)

Trend Alert: Good news for those who have a hard time with heels! While the heel will never go out of style, flats are making a loud and proud comeback this year.
